Alex Fletcher is currently walking through an incredibly hard season. Her mom, Ms. Laura, was hospitalized on Tuesday, August 12th due to serious health complications. As things have progressed, the focus has shifted to making sure Ms. Laura is comfortable and surrounded by her children—those she loves most—in her final hours.
As a close friend of Alex’s, I’ve had a front-row seat to see how much she pours out to care for others while carrying the weight of her own responsibilities as a single mom to her sweet daughter, Ashtyn. Over the past week, I’ve heard Alex share how overwhelmed and anxious she feels—especially about finances—while taking time off to be with her family.
I want to give her the gift of peace during this time. I want her to be able to grieve well, without the burden of wondering how rent will be paid or how she’ll afford time off.
